Sun Lotion
As the hotter weather hopefully becomes more of a feature of daily school life, it’s important that children can enjoy being outdoors on sunny days safely. You are welcome to send sun lotion into school with your child on hot days if you wish and the following arrangements will be in place:
If children bring sun-lotion into school, it must be clearly labelled with their name, and they must be able to apply it independently and appropriately.
Each class will have a central location – a box or basket – where all lotions will be kept and then distributed as necessary before breaktimes, PE lessons etc. Children should hand any sun lotion to teaching staff and not keep it in their bags or trays.
School Field /Sports Day
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to make use of the school field due to the presence of some very industrious badgers! Hopefully, over the next 2/3 weeks, we will know how effective some of the remedial works have been to fill the holes and re-seed the grass.
This does mean that our plans for a return to our traditional sports day events have been on hold but, as soon as we are confident that the field is once again safe to use, we will, of course, let you know our plans.
Thanks for your understanding,
Mrs Pritchard
