Mini Medics – two groups

Thank you to the many parents who signed up on the Mini Medics initial interest form. It has proven very popular which has led us to organise two groups that will take place in the Autumn term.

We will email you to let you know if you are in the first group starting Wednesday 14th September or a second group that will start their sessions on Tuesday 8th November.

You do not need to pay at this point. We will put this onto Scopay at the start of September.

Year 3 – End of year information

After surviving the past two days of extreme heat, we are now heading into our final few days before our lovely year 3s make the step up to year 4.

On Wednesday 20th July, the children will be bringing home the contents of their trays and also their books. Please be aware that the children could have up to 15 large exercise books to bring home. They will need to bring in either a couple of the strong Bags for Life, or a large, strong back pack.

Thursday 21st July, the children will be able to play some board games in the morning. If they would like to bring in a board game to play with their friends, they are more than welcome to do so. Please could we ensure that the games are not electronic. Additionally, the children will be responsible for any games which they bring in, because of this, it is entirely optional if they would like to bring one in or use the games that we can provide in school.

Thank you so much for the ongoing support this year and all the hard work!

Final choir rehearsal this year

Choir is on tomorrow 14.7.22 and we will reveal the new songs that we will be learning for Young Voices next year. You can have a preview by following this link: Spotify link

Please remember that this is the last choir rehearsal of the year as next Thursday is the last day of term!

Your child will also be able to purchase an ice-cream before the rehearsal. The PTA are kindly helping to take choir groups out classrooms before the end of the day so they can enjoy a treat before they sing.

Thank you for all of your support with the choir this year. We are extremely proud of our children and the growing confidence they have shown when performing. We will provide details early on in the Autumn term about the Young Voices trip which is due to take place in January 2023.

Year 3 trip – Don’t forget!

We are really looking forward to our trip tomorrow!

Just a couple of quick reminders to ensure we have a ‘hiccup-free’ day!

  • Please be in school by 8:50 at the latest, in the morning (we will open the doors from 8:40)
  • Children need to wear soft trousers such as leggings or jogging bottoms. Please no shorts, jeans or skirts.
  • They also need to wear a t-shirt which covers their shoulders. Their White P.E. top is perfect.
  • We ask all children to wear their Jade Green school jumpers/cardigans.
  • Trainers must be worn. No jewellery – including earrings. Any earrings that can’t be removed, please tape up
  • Where possible and appropriate, hair should be tied up in a low ponytail/ plait so that it will not interfere with a helmet.
  • Please can the children bring in a packed lunch. It would be preferable if this was in a carrier bag etc where everything can be thrown away after lunch. If this is not possible, your child’s usual lunch bag will be fine.
  • All lunches must be labelled.
  • All children must bring in a water bottle. There will be points where this can be refilled throughout the day.
  • The weather will be on our side I think! Do not worry about a rain coat, but you may want to apply sun cream to your child in the morning before school.
  • Please inform your child’s teacher if your child suffers from travel sickness so we can place them at the front of the bus.

See you bright and early in the morning for a fabulous day!

Miss Martin
