Year 1 Homework

The children will come home tonight with a sheet containing a summary of what we have been covering recently in science. Please could you talk through what is on the sheet emphasising the language in bold. There are also investigations which you can do with your child. Please revisit on a regular basis to help embed the knowledge.

Thank you

Year 1 Homework

Homework this week is work on taller shorter which will come home in their homework books. In addition to this, please could they continue to practise counting in 2s and 5s whenever they can.

Year 1 Homework

This week homework is linked to Red Nose Day and mental well being.

The sheet will be in their homework books.

Please continue to hear your child read and practise forming numbers up to 50.

Thanks for all support.

Year 1 Homework

Homework this week will be linked to writing numbers up to 50 and recording one more and one less. The children will come home with the sheet in their maths homework book . I have also included a number square to help make sure that they record the number correctly.

Over the next few weeks, it would be great if you could get the children to record a given number up to 50 ensuring the digits are in the correct order e.g.

Nineteen is 19 and not 91.

Thank you for all your support with reading, phonics and homework.

Year 1 Homework

Welcome back after half term! We can’t believe that we have already been back for one week.

It has been a busy week: finishing off vehicles; phonics (refer to their folders which come home daily), computing which has involved them using the computers to draw a portrait of themselves and adding text; learning about the parts of a flower and of course World Book Day activities.

For their homework this week, we would like them to draw a picture of themselves in their World Book Day outfit and explain their choice. A sheet will come home in their homework book or folder if their book is not in school.

Have a great weekend,

The Year 1 team
