Year 5 Trip: Blists Hill Visit

Year 5 Trip to Blist’s Hill Tuesday 7th June 2022

Blists Hill Victorian Town - Unique Wedding Venues - Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust

20th May 2022

Dear Parents,

As part of our work in History we will be learning about the Victorians. To support this work, we have planned a trip to Blists Hill Museum on Tuesday 7th 2022. This will be an exciting and educational experience for the children, they will be taking part in the Victorian School workshop, where they will dress as Victorian children and be taught as if they were attending school during this era, and then they will spend the rest of the time in the museum finding out about the lives of Victorian people.

We will be travelling by coach, leaving at 9.15am and returning to school in time for the end of the school day. Children will need to wear their school uniform. It is important that the children wear sensible footwear for walking and bring waterproof clothing in case of inclement weather or a hat if it is hot. (If it is hot please apply sun cream before children attend school) Children need to bring a packed lunch.

The cost of the trip is £7.20 per child. Under the circumstances of the Education Reform Act 1988 we can only raise the cost of the event by voluntary contributions.  However, the event can only go ahead if the cost of the visit is met by contributions.

Please make payment and give consent via your child’s Scopay account. (Please ensure you have made payment by Friday 3rd June)

Yours sincerely,

Miss Leech & Mrs Moreton
